FAQ

What (and Who) is License Ally?

License Ally is a web service that helps licensed California psychologists keep track of their CPD hours.

We're a "family business." As a team of two cousins, we came together to help mental health professionals with their license requirements.

Chris is a licensed psychologist and handles all the regulatory details and public promotion.

David is a web developer who works quietly behind the scenes making sure everything runs smoothly.

What is CPD?

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is a set of legal requirements created by the California Board of Psychology. To maintain compliance, CPD hours are required every license renewal period.

Is there a trial period?

All accounts start on the Free plan so there is no trial expiration date. You can upgrade whenever you're ready.

How do I cancel?

License Ally is flexible. There are no pesky contracts and no commitments. You can easily cancel your subscription from your account page in just a few clicks. There are no cancellation fees - start or stop your subscription anytime.

What's an activity?

An activity is part of the new CPD requirements from the California Board of Psychology. Within the License Ally dashboard you're able to log activities that match those defined by the board.

If I'm on the free plan, what happens if I hit my activity limit?

You will be asked to upgrade to continue logging activities. Need more time to decide? Shoot us an email.

If a credit card isn’t required to sign up, how will I pay for a plan?

Signing up doesn’t require a credit card. When you're ready to upgrade to a paid plan, you'll have the opportunity to provide your credit card information.

Is my information secure?

Yes, absolutely. License Ally securely encrypts all data that flows from your device to our servers using HTTPS to protect your account and information. Furthermore, we use Stripe to process all our payments. Stripe is a certified PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. This means all your billing related information is securely stored on their servers using AES-256-bit encryption - the same kind used by banks and the military.

Can you answer another question not listed here?
